So it’s finally spring - the first early morning rays of sunshine finally make themselves felt, as days are progressively getting longer and hemlines shorter. Transitional dressing is never more fun than in London’s unpredictable climes, which is all the more reason why this season I’ve gone all the way back to beige - did I say beige? I meant basics. The perfect spring wardrobe would not be complete without the season’s ubiquitous colour. Much like a palate cleanser in between courses, a little beige goes a long way towards bridging the winter summer divide, wiping winter’s dull dark slate clean with a neutral phase to later give way to prints and colour. Though it may seem an expensive exercise in monotony, beige is anything but that.
